Week in the Life Album

So, I finally got around to post a few of these pages. I wanted to publish them all but some pages had personal info on them. But I included a few of my favorites. I had a really good time putting this album together; I know I mentioned it before in a previous post. To be able to document your daily routine for one week long with a pen, notebook and camera and then see it put together in one album makes it that much more meaningful.  I showed it to Dave and he mentioned it was by far his favorite album and one of my best albums. Ah, he's so sweet.

I went with a different approach than what Ali put together. I wanted to use her digital template (the pages that says 'The Story of Today') and use it repetitiously in each day but it didn't work out with the different protective sheets I wanted to use. The goal was to not buy new product and use what I had. So, I ended up using a 6x12 for the introduction of the new day, followed by a 8.5x11 (baseball cards sheet protector), and then a 12x12 of 4x6's photo inserts.  I didn't want to go simple, so I just flowed each page into the next day...pretty much like how my days are during the week.

The End: I ended the week with a list of favorite moments during the past week!

I'm truly looking forward to doing this again sometime next year...and the years to follow. The simple idea to capture your everyday moments, details...and then compare them and reflect back on how different our lives will be makes such a cool album. Thanks Ali E. for your inspiration.

LOVE it! This is my favorite album too. Let's do this every year together :) And every year we can try something new. I love that picture of you and Joey walking on Wednesday.

Love those pages that are narrow...did you make those or did you buy them? They're great!
