"Punkin"

Dave and I really don't get too excited about Halloween -- it's how we've always been...until our little monkey named Joey came around. We don't go "all out" like Christmas but we've shown some improvement in all of Joey's three years of life. :) Each year has been different: 1st Halloween, he was a pumpkin; 2nd year, he was a doggie; 3rd year, he was a LA Dodger and this year...well, GO SHARKS!  Because of his sensory challenges, we have to figure out a costume that is 'less threatening' to prevent sensory overload and so why not a San Jose Sharks jersey over pajamas? Two years in a row and it works! :) The trip to the pumpkin patch, which is practically located in our backyard, has improved too. Before he didn't care for pumpkins, the hay, the people at the patch -- This year he was all over it...literally...he was throwing hay all over himself, touching pumpkins of various sizes, shapes and colors and appropriately identifying them...he was actually tasting them at one point. Yes, open mouth to dirty pumpkin sitting on the hay, on the dirty ground. But whatever, this is something we've never witnessed and now we are all about the exploration and investigation. Such a huge thing for the Setti's...and for Joey!

Ahh...he even got the messy-hair-hockey look going for him!
These are little goodie-bags I made for his classmates.

There he is...he's sitting next to Angelina. He completely adores her...follows her everywhere, takes her snacks, licks her lollipop... Yup, completely adores her!

Lovin' them hay!!!

Look, he's waving to his "people"...Too cute!

Ah...perfect Daddy & Son moment!

Here we are taking a break...and crackin' up!

Our little family of 3...Good times! Here's looking forward to next year!!!

Go Team Joey! love the pictures - especially the one of you and Joey laughing :) You and Dave are doing such a good job. How very lucky you all are to have each other. And it is moments like these where you could really see all the hard work you've done literally pay off. So happy for Joey, you and Dave! Here is to looking forward for Joey's future.

And OMG - is that a huge pile of pumpkins in the back? It looks like they are going to make a huge bonfire out of it...
