We spent his sixth birthday at his most favorite place in world (at the moment): Seattle! We did everything & anything this little kiddo wanted to do. He had a lot of fun -- and so did we! We visited this beautiful place last summer and all three of us equally fell in love with it. During this visit, it was an entirely different feeling -- in a good way. To us, he just seemed more "grown up"...even til this day, he just seems older to us. Oh, how time flies! Our little baby is growing...and we are thoroughly enjoying every single of minute it!
| Our friends came by to drop this off to the birthday boy. And it was such a hit!! |
| First on the itinerary: The Museum of Flight! His most favorite! We spent 5 hours here...always a good time! |
| Up, Up and Away!! |
| Just fascinating. |
| Taking breaks are always a good thing. |
| Crab Pot! Oh yeah!! Mama was in heaven. |
| @ the Woodland Park Zoo! |
| Up close and Personal!! Seriously, so COOL! |
| Well, Hello there! Umm..this beast was 1-foot away from us! |
| Lots of playing around at the zoo! |
| Happy Birthday Little Buddy!! Just like his Mama -- Huge fan of doughnuts! Well...especially if they were made at Top Pot! |
| See the flying fish?? This was awesome to witness! We missed it last year -- so it was perfect timing , we just arrived to Pike's and there it was flying away! :) |
| Love this place!! |
| We ended his birthday trip at the Seattle Center! |
This trip to Seattle was unexpected to say the least. His birthday wish came true! ...and all the giggles and hugs and "thank you's" and "I love you's"...makes it soooo worth it!!
Around Here
As soon as we returned, we were back to our reality. This Summer has been our busiest, by far. D is killing it at work which makes for late nights, Joey's summer camp & activities resumed and I continued to work on this business idea that has been percolating in my mind for months.
I am behind on posting all of my scrapbook goodness but I am sure it will happen soon. My
Week in the Life begins on Monday. This past week was
waaay out of the ordinary that I didn't really want to document it -- to be honest. I love, love, love how we spend our days when it's "normal" around here & that is what I want to document...and although, our schedules are somewhat out of the ordinary -- it is as close as it will get as compared to the upcoming weeks.
In the meantime, here are examples of stories I'd like to document next week!
| Love when D has teaching moments with Joey. The kiddo knows his continents! Awesome!! |
| Joey's Occupational Therapist (OT) text'd this to me on their way to OT camp! Seriously, I love that kid!!! |
Have a great weekend all!! Thanks for reading.
