Oh Yeah Baby!!!
The best part of the weekend, by far, is that Joey had pizza on Friday night. Yes, he's still in his PJ's; it was Pajama Day! He just didn't have pizza...he ate pizza!! Goosebumps!! He's been curious for awhile now and for the most part, he'll lick to get the taste. This time it was different. He didn't want the pepperoni but he had it with cheese. Mama & Daddy are so proud and so elated he has overcome this one obstacle. Yes, there is still more food to discover and explore but here at the Setti household, it's one day at a time...and sometimes on Joey's terms. Since September of last year, his speech and occupational therapist have been working on 'feeding therapy'...introducing different textures, oral sensations through a variety of tools: first without food and then eventually with food), experiencing the different temperatures in food, etc. HUGE-HUGE-HUGE deal...especially since he's half Italian, definitely makes Daddy proud, pasta I'm sure will be one of the next milestones. Slowly but surely... I loved how he was showing me his pizza in these set of photos along with his cheesy smile (no pun intended) -- Tee-Hee!!
...we are so happy...

GO TEAM JOEY!!! I'm celebrating too :) Can't wait to see you in a few days so I can give you a big congrats hug. I know this was a tough milestone to get to for all of you. And he did it! And wow what great pictures of him eating the pizza. Sooooooo excited for Joey. Congrats to you and Dave for all the hard work you put into this. Yet another fantastic moment for the Setti Family :) love to you all!
Hooray for pizza and a job well done, Joey! The food adventure begins! Yay!
